LITANY – 2 - An Intercession for another who is injured/suffering

O Lord, have mercy upon me.

O Christ, have mercy upon me.

O Lord, have mercy upon me.

O Father in heaven,

For the sake of Jesus Christ –

Hear my prayer.

Lord, God of all compassions and mercy,

For the sake of __________, hear my prayer.

From all fears of body and mind;

From any neglect to his/her physical welfare;

From all temptations to doubt and despair;

From all assaults of the evil one;

From any further complications in his/her recovery;

From any further injuries to his/her body and mind;

And from weakness of heart, mind, body or spirit-

Lord have mercy and deliver __________.

Lord have mercy and protect __________.

Blessed Lord Jesus Christ,

Compassionate Lord and great Physician –

For the sake of __________, hear my prayer.

By Your holy incarnation for us;

By Your holy living in this fallen world for us;

By Your holy receiving the cause of all sickness, injury and suffering – our sin, for us;

By Your holy receiving of the holy injuries and wounds to Your flesh for us;

By Your holy suffering all this on the Cross for us;

By all Your holy patience in suffering for us;

By all Your holy compassion for others in suffering for us;

By all Your holy speaking of forgiveness in suffering for us;

By all Your holy entrance into death for us all;

And by Your holy resurrection over sin and death for us;

Blessed Lord have mercy upon __________ and help him/her.

Blessed Lord hear my prayer and grant these to __________.

Gracious God our heavenly Father

Ruling over all eternity and our times –

In all forms of his/her injuries;
